Information We Collect
This app processes the activity information you enter (location, date, time, activity type, headcount) locally on your device. Coordinates are obtained via map selection and used only for this risk calculation — they are not uploaded or stored on a server.
External Data Sources
To calculate risk, the app makes live calls to third-party public data: Open-Meteo (weather forecast), the Malaysian Meteorological Department via api.data.gov.my (official weather warnings), and OpenStreetMap (location and map). These calls contain no personally identifying information about you.
User-Submitted Content
If you submit location information via "Help us expand the permit database", the content is used to improve our reference database and may be shown publicly. Submissions do not include your name or contact details.
Data Storage
Assessment results are stored temporarily in your browser session storage (sessionStorage) and are cleared when you close the page. We do not create user accounts and do not store personal data long-term.
Your Rights
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), you have the right to access and correct personal data we hold about you. Since we store no personally identifying information, such action is usually unnecessary. For questions, contact 8848.team.
